This module helped me better understand the difference between management and leadership. Management focuses more on organizing, planning, and improving processes and procedures, while leadership focuses on influence, vision, communication, and aligning people toward a common purpose. Both are important. 

I plan to apply what I learned by being intentional about how I interact with others. I will continue to organize and manage responsibilities effectively while also working to communicate a clear vision, encourage others, and help to create a positive and supportive environment. 

Every organization needs leaders to be the visionaries. Managers play an important role to see those visions come to life. I plan to identify the leaders in my team and support them as they propose the visions that will make our program better. 

There are many myths surrounding what a manager is versus a good leader. Managers must work collaboratively with leaders within their group to effectively implement the visions of those leaders. 

I learned that the CAN-SPAM Act establishes important requirements for emails and helps protect individuals from misleading or unwanted messages. It's always important to use accurate information that clearly identifies the sender and provides recipients with an easy way to opt out of future communications. 

I will apply what I learned by making sure my emails are clear, honest, and professional. I will also respect individuals' preferences regarding communication and make sure that any opt-out requests are handled appropriately. 

This learning module reinforced how important transparency is when communicating with current and future students. Marketing and program information should be clear, accurate, and presented in such a way that students can make informed decisions. Misleading statements and promises should be avoided. 

I intend to apply this by making sure that the information I give students is consistent with the official information published by the organization. When discussing the program, I will focus on providing accurate information and making sure students understand the requirements and expectations. 

I learned more about the regulatory triad from this module. I was also reminded of how important it is to remember all aspects of integrity. Integrity doesn't just apply to the regulatory policies we have in place, but also being transparent, kind, honest, and respectful to all students and all members of their academic teams. 

One thing I learned from this section was that the admissions process must abide by the rules and regulations set in place in order to remain in compliance. If the admissions process is not in compliance, it jeopardizes the good standing of the program and institution.
