Creating my first VR lesson provided valuable insight into the process of transforming educational concepts into an interactive and immersive learning experience. I learned that effective VR instruction requires clear learning objectives, realistic scenarios, meaningful user interactions, and thoughtful assessment strategies. The development process also emphasized the importance of considering learner accessibility, ease of navigation, and engagement when designing virtual environments. As a nursing educator, I plan to apply these concepts by creating VR-based clinical simulations that allow students to practice patient assessments, communication skills, and clinical decision-making in a safe setting. I believe VR can enhance experiential learning and better prepare students for real-world healthcare challenges.
