From the Leadership Impact module, I have learned that true leadership impact is measured by the positive influence a leader has on their team—through providing purpose, building trust, fostering hope, and delivering results—rather than authority, micromanagement, or short-term control. I also deepened my understanding of how self-aware, pacesetting, and supportive behaviors, combined with consistent actions like getting involved and staying committed, can transform team culture and performance even in challenging transitions. I intend to apply this by more intentionally assessing my impact through the goals my teams achieve in projects such as MGAR-ETN and academic initiatives at TdeA; strengthening purpose and trust via regular empathetic check-ins, autonomy, and transparent communication; and modeling commitment by actively participating alongside my students and collaborators to inspire greater engagement, hope, and collective success in our work toward educational equity and smart cities development in Colombia.
