What I take away from this module is a better understanding of value-added assessment and authentic assessment. Value-added assessment compares students’ current performance with their previous scores, allowing instructors to evaluate growth over time and identify areas where students have improved or may need additional support. Rubrics provide clear expectations, guide student learning, and help ensure that performance is evaluated fairly, consistently, and accurately documented.
