This module taught me that students learn in different ways and that effective teachers use differentiated instruction and reasonable accommodations to help all students succeed. I learned that differentiated instruction involves adjusting teaching methods, activities, and assessments to meet students' individual learning needs, interests, readiness levels, and learning styles while maintaining the same learning goals.

I also learned that reasonable accommodations help remove barriers for students with disabilities without changing the learning expectations. Examples include extended time on assignments and tests, preferential seating, audiobooks, text-to-speech technology, graphic organizers, modified note-taking support, and alternative ways for students to demonstrate their learning.

I will apply this knowledge by using a variety of instructional strategies such as hands-on activities, demonstrations, videos, small-group instruction, and real-world healthcare scenarios. I will review and follow student IEPs and 504 Plans, provide required accommodations, and create an inclusive classroom where all students have equitable access to learning. By differentiating instruction and providing appropriate accommodations, I can help every student build confidence, achieve competency, and reach their full potential in the Health Science classroom.
