I’ve learned that diversity extends far beyond visible differences like race, ethnicity, or gender. True diversity includes perspectives, experiences, cultural backgrounds, values, and even the way people think and solve problems. I also realized that inclusivity is just as important as diversity itself; having a diverse group means little if individuals do not feel valued, respected, or heard. I intend to apply this principle by being more intentional in recognizing and appreciating the unique contributions of others in both academic and professional settings.
