In this module, I learned that certifications don’t always carry the same weight everywhere, especially if there are concerns about testing integrity or if programs don’t have strong oversight. Even though certifications are meant to show verified skills and knowledge, their value can vary depending on how they are earned and how employers or schools view them.
I plan to apply this by being more intentional about which certifications I pursue, focusing on ones that are well-recognized in my field and have strong credibility. I also see the importance of maintaining academic and professional honesty, since the value of any certification depends on trust in the process behind it.
