Doing whatever it takes?????
Do you think its wise to enroll a student if they financially shouldn't be in school? At what point do we advise them to work for a while?

This is a tough decision. None of us have a crystal ball that clearly indicates what will happen to a student financially. The best we can do is to provide accurate information about all of the funding options and other financial considerations and obligations such that the student gets to make fully informed decisions. We als should track studdnets who statrt to fall behind financialy so that we can help them take proactive steps before the hole is too deep.
We sometimes state, with a reasonable level of accuracy, that some students are a flat tire away from dropping out.
