How do you get through to the student and convince them that they can do the work?
I agree with you Nancy, I have had students that just wanted to pass over a lab because they thought it was too hard, after I talked with them and told them that I knew they would be able to do this lab , they would approach the lab with a different attituted. All I had to do was to encurage them to do there best and if they need so pointers I am here to help them.
