This module has helped me see more expanded uses for AI in the classroom as I prep my students for their career. As an instructor in a vocational college, I am helping them gain skills for their career. In our career development courses, I already use some AI in different assignments. I look forward to expanding the use of generative AI in other courses within our program, like role playing with customers and developing assignments that direct students to use AI to find information or solutions to issues.
AI is a powerful resource. However its essential that we teach students to engage responsibly and in a ethical way. It should complement not replace human interaction.
There is a plethora of AI tools evolving to meet career support needs. Discernment, education, and focus are necessary in applying these technologies in an ethical and beneficial way.
AI is a valuable tool for learners, professionals, teachers, etc. However, we have to teach our learners to use AI responsibly, ethically, and that it does not replace human interaction. I would like to see procedures set in place to teach students and learners how to implement critical thinking skills to develop well thought out, precise prompts for using AI.
I am very excited to learn more about AI and how to use it in my day to day.
I'm curious to see how we might be able to deploy some AI-driven career coaching with our high school CTE students & how we might use the data that process generates to inform our decisions about developing new curriculum around their experience
