Cheating
What do you do when you see someone cheating?
Great question. I would say it depends on the level of cheating. I would have a frank talk with that person. However, if teh cheating affects the school business and puts our core values in danger, I would bring this up to my supervisor.
Regarding cheating:
First, establish the rules of what will occur if "caught" cheating. This should be posted in the course syllabus and the program handbook. Now you have the answer; to uphold the syllabus, which is a contract between students and faculty. Follow the procedure you have already established; Moreover, students should be informed and aware of the consequences before the event occurs. I hope this makes sense. Thanks.
