Disabled students

When students are disabled should they receive special treatment?

Camille,
I can't answer that question because I have no idea what "special treatment" suggests. Does that mean they should get accommodations for access? Yes. Does it mean that rules that apply to other students don't apply to them? No. Does it mean they should be given something extra along the way in terms of support? Maybe -- depends on what the "something extra" is. If you can be more specific, I'll try to be more specific, too!

Dr. Jane Jarrow

I would not consider the students are receiving "special treatment". They are receiving accomodations for their disability. And yes their should always be a service provided to accomodate students with disabilities.

I agree that this question is too vague. The point of the modules was to say that they receive equal access just like any other student. I think the vagueness in your question implies some sort of bias towards those that are disabled.
