Job Prospects

Does the Admissions department keep a pulse on the job market for new graduate job opportunities or of the job availability for the occupation as a whole? Just the other day a company told me they cannot afford the cost of orientation thus they are not going to be able to hire new graduates.

In our school we have a person just for the job market, career services representative. That information that you received about that company should be conveyed to the appropriate person, be it your director or career services.

Some schools have admission reps provide career services or placement advice. Most schools, such as ours, have a career services department to assist students.
