Unaccredited Schools

When students apply to a unaccredited school and were given false information about the school will it affect the students finacial aid, or any of their grants?

If the school was not accredited, the student would not have been eligible to receive SFA funds.

What happens to students in the middle of a program when a school gets in trouble and loses their accreditation?

I've seen a variety of ways this has been handled. Sometimes, a school will establish a "teach out" agreement with another local school to enable students to complete a program. Tuition recovery funds referenced in this course are intended to provide financial recovery to students who aren't able to complete their intended program. Each state and accreditor may have different means to assist in these unfortunate circumstances.
