When to advertise?

My school doesn't want to start its marketing campaign until the end of the year but wants to go ahead and get our name out there without getting too many leads. Any ideas on the best way to do this?

The most important aspect of your school's plan appears to be name recognition (although I don't know that I've ever heard of a school that doesn't want "too many leads"). By utilizing the various forms of media for publicity, and using it consistently and often, it will help keep the school name visible. When it comes to product recognition, "repetition for retention."

Agree. Is this a new school that is opening and that is why you don't want the campaign to start for a while?

If you are just looking for exposure without a lot of leads there may be some good public relations opportunities with announcements to the local paper or get infront of some civic groups to talk about what you are planning to do. See if you can create some community buzz.
