Leads

Generally, how much time should a rep allow per lead?

Amanda-

The general rule of thumb we see from most clients is 30-60 days. At that point the lead is either turned over to another rep to work or given to a call center to call and try to turn back into a hot lead.

Do you guys have a standard you work off of?

Mike

At our campuses leads are protected for 45 days to allow for testing etc....We redistribute every lead in our system every 45 days by list. All previous editions of lists are picked up.

The time alloted is 7 days. 7 days in my opinion creates a sense of urgency when working leads. Admission reps sometimes sit on leads and do not work them effectivly when they have not timelines.

Are you talking about contacted leads or uncontacted leads?

They are talking about non-contacted leads and how long they have them assigned to the same rep before redistributing them to somebody else. How does your school allocate new leads coming in?

We assign them to our receptionist to follow up on.
