Relationship between student and admissions rep
The admissions representative should always maintain professionalism with student regardless of how comfortable the admissions rep. makes the student feel.
I definitely agree Maria. Having been in the industry for more than 8 years, I've watched become too comfortable with students and as opposed to create a professional environment they become too involved with the student. As a Director of Admissions, interview observations, constant training and coaching are tools that I utilize to encourage complete professional behavior and to remind representatives of their correct responses and engagements with both students and potential students.
The admissions representative should always try to make the student feel comfortable and welcome in a professional manner.
