I like the idea of sharing adult career changes, what lead to it and when is the best time to make these decisions
Retention keeps CTE students engaged; transition helps them move into careers or college. I’ll apply this by offering career support like mentoring and job prep.
Teamwork and group discussions help students identify problems, ideas, and ways to inspire each other
You can do very hard and difficult tasks if you are doing them with positive and enjoyable people. Even easy jobs are not satisfying if done with individuals that are not friendly or supportive.
Teamwork is a key component in the retention stage.
One area that might prove useful in regards to teaching the retention and transition stages in a CTE classroom would be to role-play scenarios relating to conflict resolution or problem solving and teamwork issue within the industry for the students to see who they would handle the problem so that they might continue to work productively in their respective careers/fields.
Teamwork is a key component to the retention stage. This stage is also an improvement stage. Giving time for students to revisit their goals and modify if needed. Help others know that it is okay to adjust their goals and it is common to do as a professional.
Continuing the group discussions.
