Dealing with an ever changing team

I have been tasked with leading a department with constantly changing members. Some members are on loan from other teams and bring with them some challenging styles.
What tips can you suggest for welcoming them into the team.

Mike,
Some ideas:
- Ensure the team understands the team is constantly changing and why
- Conduct frequent meetings with the entire team so they they become comfortable with each other and their various styles
- Have team members discuss their backgrounds and what they think they can contribute to the team
- Pair new team members with experienced members as a peer counselor
- Get frequent feedback from team members about how they view the teams dynamics and results against goals

Communication and regular dialog are key ingredients to welcoming team members and achieving business goals.
Hope this helps

Mike, Thanks for asking this question. I, too, am a part of a group that has new members added as our organization grows. Any tips for orienting the new members and getting them up to speed without having to backtrack during every meeting?
