I tel the students upfront hat we are all in this together and we are working toward helping all students achieve the learning outcomes. I explain that is what my feedback is all about - to help them improve. Peer feedback is the same. I tell them to view the feedback as constructive and helpful. It is not personal. So, I just tell them.
