Donald,
I think you make great points and I agree with you - the purpose of the course and the life situation of the student are important. As an adult student, the options for course delivery are critical given the complexity of life for the adult student. If you need your course to be totally online, then blended would be annoying. I believe, however, that, all things considered, if location is not an issue, then blended provides the best learning environment for most students. While you enjoy fully on ground, some students do not learn as well and benefit from the increased direct communication and feedback available in a blended environment.
