Great question! Online quiz generators can quickly graph the strengths and weaknesses of a group of students and of the individual learner. This helps the instructor create a custom lesson plan that addresses the particular needs of the class.

I like this idea. I'm not sure I would weigh it heavily in the over-all grade (not at first, anyway). But I often have students ask about extra credit. I think this would be a great way to ask maybe some tougher questions that they really need to think about, for some extra credit. And at the same time, it can show the instructor which students are really "picking up what you're putting down".

It would seem to me that online quizzes would also identify the strengths and weaknesses of the teaching curriculum if many students had trouble answering the questions.
