Active Learning
I have found in my classroom that this type of learning assists with the learning needs of all type of learners. It also allows people to work together as a team.
It also involves all students actively in the process of learning.

I find that most students enjoy working in teams when assigned projects. But there are some individuals who prefer to work on their own. They think they can get more done if they do not have to coordinate meeting times,division of work etc.with others. I like to give them a choice, but only once. I think they should also make an effort to work with a team on some projects.

Keep pushing them to work on teams. It is a better example of what happens when they enter the workforce.

Active learning re-enforces students abilities , by getting the students too understand how each individual learns best.
I require they bring distinctive research to the team effort for exchange and discussion. I can assign research topics according to perceived ability so each can "do well" to get the team process rolling and mutual trust going.
