different ways

I will usually keep the classroom moving by asking those that present questions that arent focued on the lecture to ask me during our break time. Also, as i get to know the class and the students I begin to incorporate the answers to the questions that I know the students may ask.

Appreciating Your Employees

Just saying thanks can help keep stress out of the workplace. I believe that too often the focus is on productivity and the people who are behind the productivity get forgotten. Just a little gesture like an email or a card of thanks placed in the individual employees mail boxes. These types of gestures can help decrease the employee's stress tremendously.

Test Fromats

Testint formats play a huge role in the assessment of a student's learning progress. Finding the appropriate type of testing for your individual classes can also be difficult. Being aware of the different types of tests and the pros and cons versus the objective versus subjective is great. This CEE is helping me tremendously.

Alternative Learing Methods

Alternative learning methods are great to use. Changing your teaching method enhances your students personally and educationally and also opens their eyes to new ideas about themselves. New methods also allow the instructor to see the students in a different light.

Opening the door to participation

I think that opening this door begins with the attitude the instructor sets within his/her class. When receiving a new class ensuring that they trust, respect and feel comfortable with you and your teaching is very important. This doesn't mean that everyone will agree but they will acceptance the guidance and information you are teaching them daily.

Learning Styles

I have always incorporated a Learning Styles Questionaire as part of my orientation process when receiving a new class. It is a very important component when creating a lesson plan for my class. I've learned to use Power Points with lecture and an outline component. This ensures all of my students are able to get what they need. Having the students record lecture has been a big plus for me also.

Communication

I belive that this lesson was excellent in explaining not only how to perform in a classroom setting but, communication in general. This lesson breaks down different techniques to assist us in creating a more productive learning environment for our student and it also allows us to then be accountable for our responses towards our students during class.

Technology

Technology is very important with this generation and this day and time. The students in my classes use their computers to tape and also to monitor the lesson as I lecture. They are able to take notes on the power points as well. I love technology:)
