I fully agree. ELL students are often frightened when they matriculate into their regular classes. They appear shy and quiet for fear of saying something "wrong" in front of peers. Also, teachers in mainstraem courses mis-read these students' apprehension & lack of participation as being unable to comprehend OR refusing to speak English. This course should be required for all instructors to take!
