Soft skills in the Classroom

How would soft skills be useful in the classroom.

Soft skills can be used in the classroom to critique the students work. For example if you have a student that is not performing well and they are at risk of failing the course then yo can use "soft skills" to critique their work and find out what is going on with them and how you as the instructor can possibly help.

Stephanie,
That is a once technique that could be an interesting way to teach soft skills.

Anthony,
Interactions with peers is always important. Promoting those times of interaction will help the students to develop those skills.

I also use soft skills when grading my students work. I not only use these skills for my at risk students, but all of them. They seem to be more receptive with what I say.

I think building relationships with your students assist in the learning process. I have witnessed instructors that are so rigid that student's don't enjoy the class, the instructor has to find a balance and make the class fun.
