I don't know if this can be measured accurately. I am sure there are some "assessments" out there, but learning from mistakes might be our best course of action.

I even take others mistakes into consideration. For instance, in a particular student/instructor disagreement, I listen to how it was handled from both sides when possible and try to think of ways the situation could have been handled better.

Too often we think of EQ or soft skills as great customer service, but truthfully I think we need to consider each soft skill individually. Customer is great, but learning to adapt to change, or calm a co-worker down after they have had a confrontation with someone are completely different soft skills I have learned to use often.
