Motivating a class offers many opprotunities to get the students excited about the learniong process. The ways to motivate a class is endless if you know the learning styles of your students.

Getting to know your atudents is key. Many times students come from varied backgrounds. By listening to their current stories,and why they are now enrolled in their present career choice renews goals.
Motivation has to come from within one's own soul, however, having a great teacher really helps. I do my best to make topics interesting and to have good discussions. As the great Miyagi say, there are no bad students, only bad teachers.
