Classroom

I think what happens in the classroom is the biggest factor in retention. If students can't find meaning in what they are being taught they will leave.

I agree students need to find meaning in what they are being taught. Students need to feel that connection in the subject. Open ended questions are a great way in getting the students engaged in the topic. By allowing them to get engage they are telling stories and there experience about that particular subject.

I agree as well as the student truely learning. If a student doesn't care about the subjects being taught, then so much is missed, compared to someone who wants to learn the subject

That statement is very true, if they cannot connect, then they will wander, and or try to something else to do.

absolutely! if the students dont feel that you are excited about your field or being their instructor they are easily lost.
