Learning Groups Help the Slow Learners

In Culinary School we pair students up and it helps bring the weaker students up to par. HOWEVER, it is a good thing to clue in the strong student in and give them a sense of confidence that you are placing in them and also alert them not to get frustrated by helping a fellow student.

Guy,
this is a great point. Also helping the stronger students understand that they will be able to strengthen their own skills & knowledge through this experience.

I teach in a massage program and pairing students help them take their learning further by watching each other's techniques

Murielle,
this is a great idea as they can learn so much from each other. And one may have mastered one thing while the other partner has mastered another; this way they can learn from one another.
