admit when you do not know the answer
This has happened to me several times, and I have always admitted this letting them know I learn everyday as well. I try to find the answer and even ask students to find information as well so we can compare
I would have to agree with you, its best to be honest about not knowing...however you can always look for the answer together as a group or get the correct information and then pass along the correct answer.
I don't have a problem with this. However, I encourage my students to look things up, also. Creating an adult learner means that you are responsible for your own learning, and I think it's important for the student to be motivated enough to look up the answer themselves.
every body has a problem with this honesty is the best policy.
I agree. Nobody knows everything, and we can all try to learn something new every day about our field.
