any ideas?

any grading iDEAS OR TEST STRATEGIES

Hi Victor,
I would suggest you go through ED 103. We have a entire section on designing assessments and what are good testing techniques.

Somehow get the students involved.
It creates a new dynamic in the classroom.

Grading using groups is confusing if you don't have a rubric and a plan of action. I also hand out a confidential student evaluation so that everyone participates or those who chose not to are graded accordingly.

Hi Camilla,
Good strategy for making your grading format fair for each student. Group learning activities are great to use but each student needs to feel that they have been evaluated on their own merits within the project parameters. You method makes sure that is the case.

I think it is helpful to prepare a grading rubric before each assignment so students know what they will be graded on. I found this also keeps grading very standardized and eliminates any bias between papers, practcials etc.
