Planning

Plan and be prepared, be professional at all times and have fun teaching the course.

This is good advice. I do think that the fun comes as a result of planning, preparing and being professional at all time.

Plan ahead so that when the last minute changes occur you won't become frantic.

Hi Rochelle,
Good point. This is why all instructors should have a solid Plan B ready, since my experience is that Plan A can easily go off track due to a variety of things. So to reduce stress and eliminate panic have Plan B ready to go. This way you can easily switch to another activity, group project or whatever you have ready to go. The students will never know of the switch and the class will continue to be productive for that day.

I like that advice. I think that if you are teaching a subject you enjoy, you'll have fun no matter what.
