The creative dress code

As someone in the creative field, my dress codes would look different form the business professional. Not only am I an art professional, but a Fashion Design professor. What types of modifications to dress code would be appropriate for that field.

Tara,
The dress code for your field would be what is commonly accepted as being an industry standard. This way you can display through your dress the standards you want your students to achieve. This might include a garment that you have designed and want to display to your students as a model for them to work toward.

Also, as as a graphic designer I find that showing any sense of style in your attire conveys an overall interest in design and can encourage students in any design discipline to be an observer of design in general.

Martin,
I agree because our attire reflects directly on how our students will see us as representatives of our career field, but it medicine, design, business or any other occupation.
