MR, also known as hybrid reality, combines the best features of both VR and AR. In the MR environment, learners can easily transition through the real and virtual world simultaneously.

AR superimposes virtual images over real-world objects, providing a composite view of the virtual world.

AR hardware in some spaces may be lacking; smartphone headsets and mobile devices may not be equipped with AR hardware, such as sensing technology, to provide a successful and effective AR learning experience. Moreover, another challenge for AR is the content. If a learner has the hardware, but no content to consume, then it becomes pointless, as if using an iPhone without apps.  

This module helped me better understand how different types of media and technology can be used to make online learning more engaging and effective. I think it's important to choose instructional tools that actually support the learning objectives rather than just adding technology for the sake of it.

This module helped me better understand how important it is to have all the different course components organized and working together to create a positive learning experience. I think having clear instructions, learning objectives, and expectations makes a big difference in helping students stay on track and feel confident in what they need to accomplish.

This module helped me better understand how important learning activities are in keeping students engaged and helping them apply what they’ve learned. I think it’s important to have a variety of activities that go beyond just reading material or watching lectures, especially in nursing education where critical thinking and clinical judgment are so important.

One of my biggest takeaways from this module was how important it is to make online courses organized, easy to navigate, and engaging for students. I also learned how much clear expectations, communication, and feedback can impact the overall learning experience.

As a nursing instructor, I plan to apply what I learned by making sure my courses are easy to follow and include activities that keep students engaged and encourage critical thinking. Career-based ie "hands-on" learning  can still use concepts described in an e learning environment and vice versa. For example, as an aircraft mechanic, a technician needs to analyze or sort through and take inventory of the tools and manpower that will be needed to change out a tire. A good online presentation would be to film real aircraft maintenance taking place. 

Developing a course syllabus is of utmost importance. Lecturing delivery method and lab work time will affect the syllabus.

Both synchronous and asynchronous methods of exchanging information are available on gaming platforms. In the area of aircraft maintenance, iPads are used at flight line areas for documenting work done and certification of legality/airworthiness. I will show the relevance of using Teams for example when aircraft technicians needed to share the location of an aircraft maintenance manual document to reference a type of work accomplished to another technician stationed at a different ramp.
