Instructional strategies for students with learning disabilities include any accommodation or modification intended to give the students a chance to be successful in their learning.

Once students reach post-secondary education, they will need to self advocate in a way that allows professors to know which modifications and accommodations were successful for them in high school.

It's important to come into a situation with the mindset that students with disabilities can learn. They just learn differently than other students and needs to be accommodated to suit their needs. Offering alternate methods of instruction, or supporting students where they have needs will give them the best chances of success.

Most learning disabilities are simply a challenge with reading, and comprehending what has been read. Understanding that each child has unique challenges will allow educators to build their interventions based on where they need help the most.

Doing my best every day to include all the students, no matter race, gender, or any other stereotypical attitudes will not only help them during their learning experiences but will also help me to grow as an individual as well.

I will use all these accommodations in my classroom to help the students with disabilities to succeed in my course.
