This topic spoke about style, professionalism, instructional and how important each area is. I try to apply each topic daily, i know that each area holds value when used in the right environment and at all times. I will be intentional about staying current and up to date within the filed of teaching. I want to make sure i provide the necessary skills and training my students need to advance in the workforce.

There are both formal and informal ways to communicate with students. While always remaining professional, the instructor can develop a good rapport with students by conducting informal teaching sessions.

Finding creative ways to teach a lesson or class can cause a dramatic increase in student motivation and retention of the material. I think that also keeps it interesting for the teacher.

Words can make or break a person, moment, reputation or they can encourage, motivate and heal. My language is mostly encouraging and patience is a virtue. That is not a cop out to be lenient. No reacting to provoking, taunting and bizarre comments shows confidence, maturity and the ability to retain control of any situation. Organization and educational talents go hand in hand to be effective.

Intuition, introspection, self-awareness, and the ability to read the room are important factors in effective teaching, allowing instructors to recognize students’ needs and create a more supportive learning environment.

Caring for students must also be met with accountability; otherwise, the learning process can become compromised.

Patience and empathy go hand in hand. It would be difficult to teach on any level without either.

I learned the benefits of using different types of questions to keep students engaged. Also how to keep questions at an appropriate level, clearly worded and easy to understand. I also learned that asking questions that are effective help me to see if the students are comprehending the subject matter and encourage engagement.

In choosing an evaluation method for students, we are to consider the importance of the students' ability to grasp the new concepts that were given. Personally I like more objective types of measurement like clear multiple choice questions

Asking questions that are planned, directed to individual students, followed by silence, containing repeated and reinforced answers, asking more questions to build on the discussion and are above the recall level will provide effective measurement of learning.
