Is Agent Training a one-time requirement?

It is necessary to satisfactorily complete the Agent Training course before you can work as an Agent or Admissions Representative. It is also necessary to keep up to date with new regulations and policies and complete continuing education as required by your school.

Career Services Department

I must admit, I have not, until now of course, thought to talk with the career services department in an effort to be a more effective rep. I think part of my concern is not wanting to convey some information i get from them to the student and be out of compliance! I guess I am still torn on how to utilize this information. Any suggestions?

REPS SHOULD BE KNOWLEDGABLE ABOUT THE SCHOOL THEY REPRESENT. NOT TO FALISFY INFORMATION OR MISLEAD STUDENTS TO SIGN UP FOR A PROGRAM OF STUDY. ALSO PRESENT CLEAR PRECISE EXPECTIONS REGARDING THE ADMISSIONS PROCESS INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO PROGRAMS,TUITION, FINACIAL AID(TITLE IV) FUNDING, DISCLOSURE STATEMENTS/ DOCUMENTS...ETC..

Do schools need to have a placement service available to students?

Can you put flyers on car windshields?

Can the refund policies be only in the enrollment agreement?

this course was very helpful. I really liked what i gained from the ads portion. Also the explanation of the rules haved helped out greatly

tuition and enrollment

I think thiss class has helped out a lot. it was an eye opener to whats all involved with state guidelines.

Schools giving us a bad reputation

I have found that when dealing with a few potential students, they have told me for example: "i just visited school X, they told me that your schools program isnt long enough to be considered a valid program to apply for the state license test for medical assisting" or " school x told me your students dont get jobs". I always focus on our positives and disprove what was being told to them and NEVER bash the other school. What other suggestions would you have in handling a situation like this?

I think the note book will help me out greatly. I have started it and plan to up date as need be.

accreditation

I find that much of the general public does not know what accreditation means.

Product Knowledge

It is very important that you understand your institution so that you know exactly what you are presenting to prospective students.

I have a better understanding of how to accurately present to incoming students admissions information

How to keep prospects on the phone?

Change the tone in you voice. Get the called excited again. There is a reason the gave there information out.

Staying on top of things!

This can be the area that seems to change alot sometimes....having the resources and support in place is crucial for an agent that is on the enrollment side of things
