Catalogue

The catalogue must be given to all students so they can refer to the laws and bi laws of school. And know the cost, curriculum, and courses as a tangiable means.

Admissions Reps from out of State schools must be licensed in Ohio

It was good to discover that Admissions Reps who recruit Ohio students must be licensed in Ohio also.

Accreditation

Our school is currently nationally accredited. We are in the process of hopefully becoming regionally accredited. It is a task to stay on top of both accreditations and give students accurate information. Our administration is very good about sending us updates and letting us know what to say to prospective and current students.

Texting/Social Media

I work primarily with high school senior and recent grads. We found a great way to contact students is using social media like Facebook and Twitter or texting. Texting students is a great way to get in touch with students who may not like talking on the phone and prefer to text or are simply out of minutes. Social media has also been a great resource. If we are looking for another way to contact a student, simply looking up the student by their email address is a good way to reach out to them.

Ernollment Forms

I keep my enrollment forms handy at my desk. We also have a school-wide site with up to date forms. I have an alert set up to notify me when forms have been updated or changed. I keep that site in my bookmarks so it is easy to access if I need it quickly.

Agent Requirements

I understood that there was a lot of information that went with this position. There is a lot you have to learn about the schools and other programs. Knowing about the programs is just a little bit of it, you have to know life outside of that program and what the work environment is like. There are also a lot of rules and regulations that go along with this. I knew how important they were but this really illustrated it.

Social Networking Sites

It allows them to know about us before they come in. they can see the agent they are going to sit down with in their environment. Not only are they able to see what the person looks like but they can see the desk that they will be sitting at. This allows them to be more comfortable before they come it, because it is like they have been here before. We are able to communicate to students faster. Contacting them on Facebook is sometimes the fastest way possible and they know who it is from, not just a number. Yes they do, we have had seminars on social networking sites so that we are about to relate to our students as best as possible. We also can show the students what is going on at the school and events that they have participated in.

Rules and Regulation

I have then in my catalog and I go over them at home and during my down time at work. I also touch basis with different people inside the organization and talk to them about the rules and regulations. I get a detailed look at how they are using them and what it means to them.

Resource Notebook

I have placed the laws, rules, and status forms listed on the website. This helps give me guidance when I am faced with a question or dilemma on what I need to do. Having those separated makes it easy for me to find the information intended as quickly as possible. I also have all of the information about our school in there. Allows me to have all of the information on every program and our back ground allows me to help the students figure out exactly what they want to do. It also allows me to show them the true picture of our campus. When talking about financial aid and placements out of your programs, I have to make sure that I do not use words that are misleading and can give the student wrongful information.

Module 1

I find it interesting that an agent's permit must be renewed each year. This is also very important because it seems like things may change a lot within the Ohio board.
