Credits

This is a topic that needs to be discussed with students so they understand.

Materials

I think all marketing materials should be sent to the Ohio Board for approval before printed.

Discounting

It is amazing how many families expect to have their tuition discounted if they pay in cash. Some schools actually did this.

Resource Book

This is a great tool and one that needs to be kept at the institution too.

Tuitions and Fees - Other Fees

While it is only my opinion, but if a student is going to be spending a large portion of money to go to school, the least the institution can do is not charge for an application fee. Just my opinion

Financial aid

How do you overcome potential students who are looking for refund checks in FA...when the school does not offer.

Placement

What is your schools best practice when discussing students who are not placed into the industry?

organization of materials

What are some suggestions to organize materials for compliance?

Why Compliance

What would the impact be if Compliance was not implemented?

Massage Therapy

How can we better perpare students that are interested in working in a Spa for massage therapy

How can we improve recruting

Accredations

Improving the accetance of credits from school to school

Accreditation and Compliance

Continual training and workshops seems to be the key to ensure that faculty and staff adhere to state, federal and local guidelines to disseminate infomation to students and prospective students regarding the accreditation process.

Employers information

Employers are the best source of information about the jobs that the school is training for because technology is constinally changing & the person that would be most aware of this would be the people working within that field. It is also important to talk to more than one employer because with new technology, you may find that one employer will have experience with it & the other may not.

Knowing the Product

I feel that as a salesperson, knowing the product is more important than selling because selling is about building a relationship with the customer & the more you know about the product or service you are selling the better that relationship will be & the customer must feel comfortable with the sell to avoid buyer's remorse.

School Catalogs

Providing all necessary informatin to the students during enrollment is critical & the school catalos offers a good guidline to follow!

Similar regulations

Many of the regualtions that are required are very similar to the requirements for admissions' positions but understandable of the job duties. Very informative module

Competition

It is always better to be positive regarding your competition. Put downs only make you look bad not them. Focus on your school's strengths.

Organization

I am that OCD nut who loves to organize paperwork. File folders and labels can be your best friend. Just make sure you have a clean desk every morning when you start the day, and you'll know exactly where everything is, that's my rule of thumb. Also, I always keep track of ingoing and outgoing paper items. In an Admissions setting, there's several items that can be flying in and out of your office through out the day (from inquiries, to applications, to visit sheets, HS visit reports, the list goes on and on). Just take the time to dedicate your files accordingly.

Policies

It is good to make sure that the school and the personnel envolved understand key policies to ensure the best outcome for the school and the students.
