Making Strides

I have been faced over the last several months with delivering a curriculum that is technically challenging.  The curiculum has caused the students to be concerned and nervous, and word of some of these struggles has affected our enrollments.

I have worked diligently to ensure positive outomes through coaching, mentoring, support and relaying rel world examples in the for of stories and anectodes, as well as humor to engage the students and increase the opportuity for rmaterial retention and learning.

Though the department continues to struggle in the face of declining enrollments, and my tenure within this department may be short-lived, I have made very large strides in the percentageof passing students, and I am hoping that this teaching methodology and new student comfprt levels with the curriculum delivery will spill over to students who may have been intimidated by the program to see that success is possible.
