So far, as a new teacher,(6 weeks), I have had great success tailoring my approach and presentation of the course material, by asking the students for their observations, even if abrupt or potentially offensive, so that i can continue to improve in a beneficial way for them and their peers. I told them to be honest and not afraid to hurt my feelings. I need to be better. Of interest is the way that the children's observations and suggestions closely align with the suggestions made in the ED125 course. I plan to make use of the hands on activity recommendation early in the class, even before the interactive lecture.
