importance of retention

Retention is the single most important aspect of what we do as educators. The students cannot succeed if they are not there. The world will miss out on their ability to contribute to the world as a whole at least in this aspect.

Retention involves more than them showing up. The expectation is that they will be involved, faculty must do the same.

I feel that we need to retain our students to encourage them that we are here for them to help in their journey to find better employment or event just become more educated in the field that they are currently in.

we need to do all we can do to keep the students ingaged and be poractive in declineing students, encourage, listen, responde, and give solutions if you can. it gives the student a sense of worth and can be the small push they need.

We have to believe in retention as instructors this will help the student understand the importance of finishing school and they will feel like they have support form the school and staff and it will hold them to a expectations and professionalism
