Best practice for lecturing has been, for me, as the instruction suggest, is to Practice, PRACtice, PRACTICE. Learn to be dramatic and interesting as you share the knowledge of your discipline.
I agree, I have recorded myself on the phone and practice giving a lecture. I know that you are your own worst critic, I have learn to becare of saying um or you know alot. So I have to just practice.
