Excited and Informed

This course has really taught me things that I took for granted prior to completing the course. As a assistant scoutmaster, I relate much of this information to the teaching and learning of the scout laws, in terms of being trustworthy, honest and reverent. As far as my employment situation, I also feel that it is important to be all those things (transparent) and more in order to build positive, lasting relationships with staff, students and the entire learning community. This is a great start to creating a culture conducive to quality education. Looking forward to other quality on-line courses like this one.

Gregory I could not agree with you more  I too took some of the information for granted.  I think reading and taking the quizes was very important it helped to refresh in my mind the do's and do not's that we run into on a daily basis.  It is easy to get caught up in talking to a prosepctive student about your passion.  By completing modules like the ones we completed it helps kep you in check.  I personally would have like more situational questions.  I find it is helpful to run through the possible scenerios you would run into with your peers.  At my campus we often do that during departmental meetings or PD meetings.  It is interesting to hear different perspectives and then talk out what the best option is.   I also would have loved to have had these as a Pod Cast.  It was very distracting to try to listen to it at work.  Even though I had a note on my door I still was constantly interupted.  I actually ended up doing it at home a second time to make sure I understood.

I beleive in my opinion that  the product that we put out as a career school is excellent.  I beleive that we all have excellent passion for the subjects we teach and I think being trust worthy and being transparent is easy and non threatening if you are doing was is right and not just was is easy.  I beleive that we take our mission statement very seriously and that we uphold it not just as individuals but as a company.  To me being honest and transparent is not a problem I know that the information stands for itself.
