CM102

I just completed CM102 and I think it was a well developed and informative course....but much more relevent for Admissions reps , Financial advisors and management.......not so much for a classroom instructor!!   Many of the other MaxKnowledge courses that deal with what goes on in the classroom probably would be more difficult to relate to for nonteachers. Just my opinion!

I think it is wise to be knowledgable in this information for any position in higher education. It is important to understand the guidleines of the CIE.

I am a new instructor and I felt that CM102 was relevant for me. I need to know the laws on student confidentiality and release of information. I need to know how to inform students. I definitely need to know how to maintain student confidentiality in this era of mass technology, emails, text messaging, facebook, etc.

The CM102 course was a great learning tool. Some of the information seemed to be common sense to me, however all instructors need to know the laws pertaining to the student and the institution. There was valuable information pertaining to social media that really opened my eyes when it came to the exchange of information. I was a bit disappointed when taking the final. I was expecting more questions pertaining to my state and some questions pertaining to the FERPA tab.

The CM102 cours was a great learning experience for me.  It was very informative and it is important that all instructors know the laws pertaining to the students and the institutions.  It was a lot of valuable information that gave me better insight.  I thing this course was great and I would reccommend it to any new instructors.
