Retention should be everyone's concern, not just the instructor's responsibility.

I love teaching and have no problem with retention.  It aggrevates my when the students aren't provided with the tools neccesary and promised to them.  I work with food and when I don't have product or quality product promised I can't do my job.  In today's computer age bad reviews can effect future students.  Company should be careful about they're bottom line.

I agree with you, I think some of the staff forget that we are there supplying customer service. It depends on the students if we continue to have a job or not!

I agree that aretention should not be the sole responsibility of the instructor or a designated official for retention. Its should be the responsibility of all departments. Though the Instructors have a greater role to play in retention as the spend the most time with the students.

Th place I work in the Instructors are not totally orientated in the better practices of orientation. As we have desifgnated official to take care oif the retention. This is wrong. If the classroom management is good and the instructors are well supported by other staff members then retention can be really good. Poor orientation of the Faculty and staff on the retention techniques and poor follow up on their performance leads to lot of chaos realted to retention and needing extra people to do that job.

Higher oficial should not be allowed to run the show they want to but they should be running according to the sturucture and the rules and regulations of the facility. otherwise it cause lot of unfairness and unhealthy atmosphere where people will lose passion for thier work.

Hope we can all stand up to do the right thing and not be afraid of revengful supervisors.
