I have a LOT more to do than I expected!

It's rare that I get as much out of a course as I'm getting out of this one. I already have a ton of ideas about better ways to connect with and motivate my learners.

Some of the take-aways I intend to take action on are:

  • Wikis for learners to share findings/resources
  • Facebook group or maybe a Slack channel so that DQs can feel more conversational
  • Improving the specificity, meaningfulness, and timeliness of feedback
  • Delivering content in even more ways than I currently do so every learner's style is addressed
  • Remind.com is a great idea
  • More gamification opportunities for learners

A large part of my action plan now that I've identified the best practices above are figuring out which ones will work with my content, the schools I teach for (their LMS), and will also be appropriate for my learners. I'm planning a pretty robust talk with my administrators. The upside is that I am given a lot of leeway in how I teach. The downside is that I have to ensure I am complying with the accreditation agencies that my schools have to answer to.
