Providing clear goals benefits every student in the course. It allows students to build confidence in their learning, be more motivated, and engaged in lessons. Having clear learning goals also helps the instructor plan and execute lessons based on student learning variability. 

I learned that setting goals early and often can help improve a students drive and learning skill. Which could snowball into them being more engaged more and more as the year progresses.

Providing clear learning goals for the course you are teaching is linked to increased motivation and engagement by the student. 

I learned that having students set learning goals can improve their learning skills.
