Leading with Generative AI
Post what you've learned about this topic and how you intend to apply it. Feel free to post questions and comments too.
GenAI can be very helpful in innovation and keeping up with progression, especially when you cannot stop students from using it. It is best to understand how it works so you can show them how to use it properly and more efficiently. The con to using GenAI is how it affects our environment in an already deteriorating climate.
I learned that gen AI is useful but need to utilize it ethically.
I learned about how to view AI in terms of how we can use it but not be replaced by it. “At the end of the day, you really need humans to guide that vision to synthesize the information that's given you and to compile it into something that's going to work for your vision and for the final product that you need.”
From this module, I’ve learned how to use generative AI responsibly—combining its creative potential with human judgment, ethical awareness, and transparency. I plan to apply these principles by guiding my team to design clear prompts, verify outputs critically, protect sensitive data, and foster open discussions about bias, sustainability, and the human impact of AI.
I've learned the main concepts, relevance and applications of Generative AI in the Corporate Business Leadership
I gained a clear understanding of what AI and generative AI are, how tools like large language models and agents work, and how they can be applied to tasks such as automating workflows, creating content, or optimising processes. The course emphasised the role of emotional intelligence in addressing both enthusiasm and scepticism within teams, showing how to build trust, communicate the value of AI, and highlight human skills that technology cannot replace. I also learned the importance of experimentation, developing hypotheses, and using structured approaches to test and refine AI applications. Finally, I strengthened my awareness of how to align AI adoption with organisational goals, lead by example, and foster a culture of continuous learning, positioning AI as a tool to enhance creativity, innovation, and long-term professional practice.
It's amazing how much change and progress have taken place, as well as how technology has changed for humans.
"He aprendido la importancia de utilizar la IA de manera responsable, reconociendo tanto sus beneficios como sus limitaciones. Pienso aplicarlo en mi labor docente integrando actividades donde los estudiantes aprendan a validar la información, reflexionar críticamente y aprovechar la IA como una herramienta que complementa su aprendizaje, sin reemplazar su propio criterio."
Good morning!
I've been working with generative artificial intelligence since the Spring of 2023, and I found myself pleasantly surprised by this course: the idea of artificial intelligence having many areas where human engagement is critical helped me look at my job in a different way. In my current position, I evaluate what artificial intelligence does with human requests, but I did not think about the ways companies view artificial intelligence within their own businesses. For instance, some organizations have a fear of using artificial intelligence because of a fear staff will be replaced. Though this idea may be true in some instances, the thought is not an established fact because of biasness, inaccuracies, sensitive information, information privacy, and more. As a result, human beings will always need to have a role with the use of any artificial intelligence utilized.
I like that the course taught a wonderful strategy for artificial intelligence usage in the workplace: hypothesis, create measurements, evaluate the results, and present the findings. I feel these four steps would be a great benefit to any area in higher education, and I hope to utilize it for some of the ones in which I work.
I have realized the importance of being more vigilant in examining AI-generated outputs for potential biases, and I understand the necessity of instilling this same awareness within my team. While AI is an incredibly powerful tool that can greatly enhance our work, it’s crucial that we use it in a responsible and ethical manner to ensure fairness and inclusivity.
The Leading with Generative AI course helped me understand how generative AI can be a powerful tool for enhancing creativity, efficiency, and decision-making when used responsibly. I now see AI not just as a technology, but as a collaborative partner that can support innovation across teams and projects. One key takeaway is the importance of aligning AI use with clear goals and ethical standards to ensure it's applied thoughtfully. I plan to use these insights to encourage my team to explore AI tools while fostering a culture of responsible experimentation and continuous learning.
I've learned a lot of new ideas for how to use gen AI more effectively, and I've also gained some new insights about its limits and how it can be biased.
Siempre no olvidar que los datos deben ser confirmados mas cuando no son tan generales.
He aprendido a interesantes puntos de vista. especialmente con la precaución de los datos proporcionados a las herramientas de IA.
I learned about using Gen ai to help companies solve problems and create new ideas for the work they do and also how to eliminate bias.
I’ve learned how to use gen AI more responsibly and effectively—by setting clear goals, verifying outputs, protecting sensitive data, and checking for bias. I plan to apply this by creating stronger prompts, double-checking results against trusted sources, and guiding my team to experiment with gen AI in ways that are ethical, inclusive, and aligned with our goals.
